PRODUCTION

Starting in 1998 with the creation of Cearapi’s first private apiaries and the direct experience acquired in the region, Cearapi began a capacitating cycle for regional beekeepers, offering theoretical and practical apiculture courses, seminars, symposiums and technical demonstrations, in addition to the restructuring of the logistics infrastructure and honey processing equipment using exclusively stainless steel materials and the very best apiculture equipment available in the international market.

The state of the art technology employed by Cearapi is present in all production phases. The appropriate use of smoke during the moment of honey collection eliminates any risk of smell of smoke. The honeycombs are transported protected from rain and dust.

Apiculture in our region is practiced with Apis Mellifera bees from an Africanized race. They are very rustic, resistant to diseases and do not require treatment with medication what give us a honey 100% free from residues. This is one of the most important differentiation points of Brazilian apiculture compared with other honey producing and exporting countries who work with Apis bees of European origin.

Besides having its units of honey extraction strategically located, Cearapi also uses an air-conditioned mobile unit, which is an innovation in the honey extraction process, owning the most modern products that guarantee the pureness and aseptic cleanliness of our honey. The mobile unit goes directly to the production regions. The honeycombs are removed from the beehives, uncapped and immediately centrifuged by experienced professionals, duly uniformed according to HACCP and GMP norms. This is a pioneering work in Brazil.

Cearapi uses its specialized technicians to provide external consulting for materials and technical aspects to private executives and cooperatives. Cearapi is also introducing in Brazil, with the help of international specialists, the most modern technologies available for sensorial analyses with the identification and classification of Brazilian single-flower honeys.
