A certified product values quality

In July of 2001, Cearapi obtained the Organic Certification from the Instituto Biodinâmico (Biodynamic Institute), a company accredited by the International Federation of Agriculture Movements ( IFOAM ), ISO 65 from DAP/Germany and USDA from the U.S.

Cearapi was the pioneer in Brazil dedicated to the large-scale production of organic honey. Cearapi has more than 850 integrated apiarists/beekeepers with approximately 100.000 certified beehives, which are easily located by means of an efficient computerized tracking system that includes: mapping of the apiaries via GPS, periodic inspections by technicians and monitoring by means of satellite photos, guaranteeing traceability and assuring that the honeycomb extraction take place in facilities that have HACCP implemented, thereby eliminating all environmental contamination risks of the fixed and migratory apiaries. This model work resulted in Cearapi being awarded with the 21st Banco do Nordeste do Brasil Achievement Prize.

 

In 2003, Cearapi also obtained the KOSHER certification.

 

In 2008, Cearapi implemented the Ecosocial certification through IBD, prioritizing criteria of progress of the human and social development, guaranteeing for the integrated beekeepers access to drinking waters and appropriate units of honey extraction, and progress of environmental development assuring the correct destination of the human dejections and management for adequate destination of the solid residues.
